It’s common for a board to have gaps in experience and learning.  Some boards need help with governance issues, some need effective meeting skills, others need teambuilding and still others need to understand the basics of board responsibilities and duties.   

Filling the Gaps

At Charter Starters we’ve worked with brand new boards, boards that are experiencing destructive communication problems and boards that need help with their work on planning.  Because of the wide variation in client needs, we customize each training to help fill the gaps.  The difference between a strong, successful board and one that is pulled down by conflicts or inefficiency is training.  

Our Programs

Our trainings are experiential and interactive.  We incorporate hands on exercises and processes to help our clients get a real feel for the knowledge they need and keep our sessions lively and interesting.  We offer one and two-day workshops as well as shorter presentations on specific topics.  

Costs

Board Training Workshops typically cost between $1000-2500 per day.  Lectures are billed at $250/hr (two hour minimum) plus travel expenses from Eugene.
